Can I make my own rigtones iPhone w / o using iTunes?

I'm due to an upgrade, and I'm thinking of getting the 3GS new iPhone, but for I agree the switch is ringtones. I do all my ringtones for me and my friends and I send ringtones via MMS (now available on the iPhone, but will be available soon). I make them with Audacity on my computer then transfer them to my phone via Bluetooth. I do ventones.com different tones the way I have always done? so I would have to wait until the jailbreak for the new iPhone OS 3.0? Can I do this without using a Web site? I know how to create ringtones … I just want to know if I will be able to make ringtones, transferring them via Bluetooth and then set as my ring tone
